Podcast Interview: More than Meets the Eye

After the release of the review of Pat Lee's Transformers comics, the Seibertron podcast was kind enough to have me on their show and interview me! You can check them out along with the interview...

Ooh, a Shattered Glass Ravage reference? I wonder what your opinion of him is. Personally, my mate and I can't help but joke about his lolcat attention whoring, it's just that awesome. And this is coming from a guy who usually HATES internet memes like lolcats.

I'm also saddened that the interview didn't go into any detail about your love for Beast Wars (beyond Scott McNeil) and your thoughts on the comic books based around it and your thoughts on it compared to Beast Machines. What are your thoughts on The Gathering and Primeval Dawn? What did you like about Beast Machines, and what, if anything, did you not like about it as much when compared to Beast Wars? And do you hate Nightscream as much as BW fans do?

You do NOT have a huge ass ego. Honest modesty is honest modesty, but you are probably the least egotistical person on TGWTG. Last time I checked you haven't banned anybody for minor criticisms.

One More Day isn't the worst you have read?

Oh boy, whatever it is, it is going to be painful when it gets reviewed.

One More Day actually is not a bad story at all. It's kind of stupid and heavy-handed, and it probably should have ended differently, but it's not really A4W material. The only thing that makes it bad is the ending. Which is horrible and had disastrous long-reaching effects. But it's not actually a bad work IN ITSELF.

I mean, compare it to the Superman comic where Big Barda was RAPED. Yeah. THAT is the kind of story he will cover. THAT is a bad comic that must burn.

One More Day is not a bad comic, it's a bad direction. And like so many other bad directions Spider Man has taken over the years, it's very likely to be visibly retconned out of existance, and quietly forgotten...

I play Left 4 Dead 2 with the lead interviewer for Seibertron's Podcast, and I can't tell you how excited he was to have you on his show. Great interview, by the way.
